ohlordylord: IKEA just released a cook book called “Hembakat är Bäst” (“Homemade is Best”). Naturally, all the photos are of the finished product’s individual ingredients. [nqb.] these images are visually appealing. I appreciate the structured, geometric arrangement of the elements & that the liquids are presented as puddles on the background/surface, rather than in a container of some sort. The Minimalistic geometry & simplicity of the arrangements suggests Ikea’s occasionally Spartan furnishings, while the fact that these images are of ingredients to be used for making food, itself, references the “assemble it yourself” ideology that Ikea is rather famous for.
